Dr. Benjamin Faneuil Dunkin Adams was born in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1839. He was educated at Harvard College and graduated in the class of 1860. He studied medicine and was a graduate of Harvard Medical School. In 1882 his health failed and he came to Colorado Springs to reside. Because of his health problems he did not practice medicine in Colorado Springs. Despite his failing health, he took an active part in the civic affairs of Colorado Springs serving on the Board of Trustees of Colorado College. Dr. Adams died in Colorado Springs on October 28, 1895 at the age of 56. This photograph collection contains images of Dr. Adams’ family and his home at 410 North Cascade Avenue in Colorado Springs.
